For nursery owners
Step back from your nursery.
Keep 50% of the upside.
Sell half now at a fair price. Keep the other half earning. Exit at 5–6x EBITDA when the group sells.
Running a nursery alone has never been harder.
Rising staff costs. Funding rate pressures. Government policy changes and increased regulatory demands. And if you've been thinking about selling, the timing is poor.
A single-site nursery today sells at somewhere between 1.75x and 2.5x EBITDA, at a time when margins are already squeezed.
There's a different option.
How the deal works.
In plain terms.
No corporate jargon. Here's exactly what happens.
Take your cash out on day one
Any cash above 2–3 months of working capital comes straight out to you on completion. Your money, not locked in the business.
Sell 50% of your shares now
Structured as a share sale, qualifying for Business Asset Disposal Relief at 18% CGT — considerably better than income tax rates.
Keep 50% and earn monthly
Your remaining shares pay you 50% of monthly profit from day one. You're still a shareholder — without running the business.
Walk away from operations
We take over the day-to-day. You do not need to come in unless you want to. Working capital is ringfenced and returned in full.
The only charge we make to the business is a £1,000 per month management fee covering the back-office function we provide. Nothing else.
The bigger picture.
We're bringing together 10 to 20 well-run nurseries across Kent into a single group. Each one keeps its name, its team, and its identity — but behind the scenes, they share centralised operations, marketing, and finance. That structure creates something a single nursery can't: a scalable, profitable group that attracts serious buyers at exit.
Single nursery: 1.75–2.5x EBITDA
That's the market right now. It is not good, and the timing is not in your favour.
Group of 10–20 nurseries: 5–6x EBITDA
With consolidated operations and a clear growth story, the group attracts trade buyers, larger groups and private equity — at fundamentally different multiples.
Your 50% benefits from that uplift
You get paid monthly throughout, and then walk away with a significantly larger return at exit than you would achieve selling alone today.
What this actually looks like.
Example
Take a nursery generating £100k EBITDA with £75k cash in the bank. Here's how the two options compare side by side.

Illustrative example only. Actual figures depend on your nursery's financials. Your existing salary and drawings are removed from the cost base. We replace this with a nursery manager and head office support at £1k–£2k per month depending on nursery size — typically less than the current owner-operator cost.
What we bring to every nursery.
We centralise everything that doesn't need to happen inside the nursery. Your team focuses entirely on the children and families.
Marketing & visibility
Digital marketing, SEO and local visibility. This is where we have deep expertise from building and scaling our own businesses.
Finance & reporting
Back-office finance, monthly reporting and cost management. No more late nights with spreadsheets.
Operations & structure
The infrastructure that makes a business scalable and sellable. HR administration, compliance support and supplier negotiations.
Your brand stays yours
Your nursery keeps its own name and identity. Nothing changes for parents, children or your team.
We've built, scaled, and exited our own business. We know what it means to hand it over.
We built Reddico — a digital agency started from nothing in Kent. We grew it to a 7-figure EBITDA with no outside funding, named Best Agency to Work For in the UK and Best Large SEO Agency in Europe. Our clients included Skyscanner, Auto Trader, Compare the Market and BlackRock. We sold to a PE-backed group in 2021.
We're not going to treat your nursery as a line on a spreadsheet. We're going to treat it like the business it is.
